The Harriet Beecher Stowe House
Among the more notable, there is the Harriet Beecher Stowe House. Most people from around the world have heard of this popular historical site. For those that do not, however, the renowned Harriet Beecher Stowe was writer of the famed children's story, Uncle Tom's Cabin. The house has not been altered in all the decades since Stowe called this fantastic work of architecture her home. As for the exhibits found within, there are artifacts from the pre-Civil War era all the way up until the end of that history-altering event. Most people do not realize it, but Harriet Beecher Stowe's family was directly involved in the famed Underground Railroad movement that helped African Americans escape the slave owners and hunters. This is a great attraction for the history fan as well as for fans of Stowe's literary works.
The Duke Energy Children's Museum
For the little ones in your group,, there is the Duke Energy Children's museum. This fantastic establishment is the most prominent child oriented attraction in the entire city of Cincinnati. Here the kids will have hundreds of interactive exhibits that they can get into, play with, and, unbeknownst to them, learn from. What parent does not want their children to be able to have fun learning? This place is so popular that it has over a million visitors every year! While you are here, be sure to take time out to visit the Omnimax theatre inside the museum. It has a screen that is over fifty feet high! Your kids will absolutely love it!
The Taft Museum of Art
For the art lover, there is no better museum in Cincinnati, or the world, than that of the Taft Museum of art. This is considered one of the most noted art museums in the United States of America. The art that you will find here is nothing short of inspirational in nature. Your sense of sight will never find a better source of inspiration than in this fine museum. You will simply fall in love with the massive variety of art here. There are sculptures, paintings, and every other form of art that has any recognition to it all. The names of the artists are far too many, as the museum is home to over five hundred different works, but you can bet that the artists are names that everyone will recognize.
You do not have to worry about finding your quiet spot this season as you embark upon your feverishly exciting vacation getaway. All you have to do is walk the streets of Cincinnati and you will wander upon a museum!
