If you are even remotely considering the option of visiting scenic and historic Baltimore Maryland any time soon, then be sure that the Harbor Place and the Gallery area is on your list of must visit spots. This is the ultimate compilation of everything that defines this great city. It is a relatively small area, but with tons of things to do and see. It is all within two buildings and along the shorefront of the Baltimore Inner Harbor area. This is a full family attraction, so make sure that everyone comes along. You will find a minimum of one day?s worth of activities here.

A City with a View:- First, there is the view. From the two magnificent pavilions as well as from the bay lakeshore, you have an unparalleled wonderful few of this great inland harbor. You will want to devote a little time to just sitting on the shore and watching the boats come and go or gazing on the majestic skyline that surrounds this body of lush blue water. It is an artistic mix of the architectural creativity of man and the natural artwork of Mother Nature, intertwined in one great visual masterpiece.

To Spend, or not to Spend:- After you have had your fill of the beautiful scenery, you can kiss the shopping fans in your family goodbye, because they are about to disappear for several hours into the seemingly unending forests of shopping opportunities that the area presents. They will have so much fun going in and out of the many shops in the pavilions. These are mostly very lofty popular shops that everyone has heard of but few have had the opportunity to visit. There is Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, Urban Outfitters and the ever-popular Banana Republic. The shopping fever will hit hard when they realize the diversity of the shops here. There are clothing stores, shoe shops, jewelry stores, collectors? hobby shops, and virtually anything else that you could possibly imagine. It is truly a shoppers dream come true.

Break for Lunch:- When the hunger pains start to hit, it is time to stop the shopping and scenic viewing for a bit, no matter how much you hate to. Not to worry though, as there are over twenty-five different forms of dining options here. You can eat fast food and get right back to whatever it is that you were doing or you can sit down to a nice romantic dinner of culinary cuisine. The options are many and the choice is yours.

A Party on the Shore:- If you time your visit right, the Harbor Place and the Gallery is also a popular location for local events. At any given time you might see a street performer or two here, but often there are big events, such as fireworks extravaganzas, major performing artists, and festivals held within the area. Of course, the festivals almost always overflow into the city itself.

While at the Baltimore Maryland Harbor Place and the Gallery, there is only one negative aspect that one should look out for, and that is the danger of accidentally spending your entire vacation time here.
