Blowing Money in the Windy City

Different aspects of the vacation getaways seem to appeal to different members of the family. For the men, there is the physical end, such as surfing, and other outdoor spots. The children always seem to have an abundance of attractions, such as theme parks and playgrounds, as well as the occasional water park. For the ladies, there are generally two basic overall options. There is the beach and there is shopping. The first issue comes in the fact that it is hard to find both options at one place. The second is that most vacation spots generally feature one level of shopping, such as High Price, medium, or cheap. Put all these together and it can be difficult to find the perfect vacation spot for the lady of the house. Thank goodness, the city of Chicago in Northern Illinois has both.

The Beach is in the form of the Lake Michigan shorefront. That was an easily solved need as most vacation spots have a beach. The shopping, however, is a bit more intricate of an issue. Does Chicago have a large shopping option and is it varied or is there only one level? The answer is that Chicago has it all. If a good day of shopping makes you feel like your vacation is complete, Chicago has thousands of great stores and malls to choose from, each with a distinctive personality in the products.

For those seeking some of the world's most famous shopping experiences, your first choice would be the Chicago 900 North Michigan Shops. Just a few hundred yards from the Lake Michigan shoreline, this massive multi-level shopping center is a shoppers dream come true. The notoriety in this one comes in the center shop, the famed Bloomingdale's. This is the shopping center that you should hit if you are really big on brand named high profile merchandise, such as Gucci, Coach, and Mark Shale. Each of these, as well as many other big names, have specialty shops in this center that deal only with the brand names of their specialty. While you are here, be sure and stop at one of the many excellent fine cuisine restaurants within these walls. If a person had to pick just one restaurant to hit, it would no doubt be Williams-Sonoma Grande Cuisine.

For the shopper that likes more than just clothing and accessory stores in their shopping experience, there is the famed Chicago Place, yet another multi-level shopping extravaganza. In this major mall, you will find eight different floors of a massive variety of shopping potential. There are shops here that deal in home dcor, jewelry, presents and gifts, art, clothing, shoes and a lot more. There are over forty different shopping options to be enjoyed here, as ell as the area's biggest food court.

The lovely and scenic grand city of Chicago Illinois has dozens of malls just like these two with unlimited levels of prices. You will also find that those working in these malls are extremely friendly and service oriented. Pamper the lady of the house this year by taking her to Chicago for the shopping experience of a lifetime!
