Best Way To Learn Spanish

For people living in North America, especially the United States, it makes a lot of sense to learn Spanish if you are going to learn a second language. first;y, many Spanish speaking communities exist in the US so you will be able to live and work in these communities if you choose. Also, most of the countries that border or surround the US are Spanish speaking.
In Europe, speaking Spanish can help you if you visit Spain as a tourist or, more so, if you decide to retire to Spain as many people do.
So if you are planning to learn Spanish, you probably want to learn it as quickly as possible. Don't we all. Everybody hates having to learn the word for apple or how to conjugate the verb to sing. We want to be able to talk to people and have a meaningful conversation.
Learning vocabulary is never that exciting as we are not used to learning a language through rote methods. Learning grammar is even worse because it may have no intuitive sense to it, so you have to learn it as a set of rules.
Learning vocabulary and grammar through these methods is foreign to how we learned out native tongues. We learned them through repetition but more importantly a genuine desire to use the language.
If you watch how a child learns his native tongue then you will see how this works. The child spends a lot of time listening to his mother speak. Once he begins to understand her, he has a desire to communicate because the talk is probably revolved around him.
At the start his grunts and mumbles may be unintelligible but eventually he will be able to say a few words. He will continue to hone these speaking skills by watching a listening to people around him.
When he gets to the stage where he is forming simple sentences then it is safe to say he understands all the basic building blocks to learning a language. From this point his ability to speak will increase at a rapid rate.
He will put new words and verbs into these simple sentences. He will be praised or encouraged by those around him. He will start to watch the TV and learn new words. He will listen to his brothers ans sisters and learn things from them. All the time he will be trying the new words he has learned and gauging the feedback that he gets from people. He will always be learning new things about his native tongue.
This method is replicated when learning a new language by immersing oneself in the language. Immersion learning typically involves going to a country where the language you desire to learn is spoken.
As scary as it may sound you are a baby again, in a country where all the words make no sense. (well it's probably not that bad, as you may already have some idea of basic words and you can still communicate through body language and pointing) But the main learning strategies are established in this method.
You will have no option but to listen to this language. If you want to speak you will have to speak in this language. all the strategies that a child uses to learn his native tongue will be in place for you.
The typical barriers, that hold you back in learning fall away. You don't care about looking stupid or having a funny accent. all you care about is being understood. The reasons for learning are crystal clear and constantly being validated.
Learning a new language is never easy however the desire to communicate will help you through the tough times. If you take a course in the Spanish speaking country then you will also have some support in your desire to learn.
So I feel the best way to learn Spanish is to go to a Spanish speaking country. Take a course and then spend a bit of time there. this will really give you an opportunity to consolidate you skills and take them on further.
