Provide Crystal Clear Drinking Water For Less Than You Think

Phil Nichol

Bottled water sales have steadily climbed over the past few years. Water from your tap can often contain lead, mercury and other unhealthy elements. But if you find the cost of bottled water too prohibitive you may find using a water filter to be more cost effective. There are many types of water filters available to treat any water problem you may have.

Water purification systems are supplied by companies such as:

GE - has been a trusted name in appliances and electronics for many years, but they are also #2 in the water treatment market. GE manufactures any type of water filter you may need from faucet mounted filters and pitchers, to whole house systems. Their filter styles come in several choices for filtration, reverse osmosis, dual stage filters and single stage filters. Depending on the system you choose, GE filters will remove many of the contaminants from your water. They use high volume carbon systems and some also include a micro membrane fiber to catch particles found in most tap water. GE provides their knowledge of professional water filtration systems for household use.

Whirlpool - All of the Whirlpool water filters are tested rigorously and are State and NSF certified. The NSF performs extensive lab tests to ensure the quality and performance of water filters. Whirlpool offers products to provide clean water straight from the tap, your refrigerator and they even have several whole house systems to choose from. Their Gold Central Filtration System is so advanced that it even cleans itself, supplying a continuous source of clean water with no maintenance! The Whirlpool filters are designed to remove the bad elements from your water without removing the good ones such as fluoride. Most water filters will only last a month or two, but most Whirlpool filters will give you six months of clean water before needing to be changed.

Purchasing a home water filter is the cheapest way to ensure that your family will have the safest drinking water. You can save hundreds of dollars over the cost of bottled water and, they are easily installed and maintained.
