Even today, Spain is still a favorite holiday destination with people from all over the UK. But now more and more people are choosing to rent holiday villas in Spain instead of staying in a hotel. The reason for this being that cost wise it is much cheaper to rent a villa for four people than it is to stay in a hotel for the same amount of time.
However, when it comes to finding the right kind of villa for your holiday, you can either arrange it through an agent or try and arrange the booking yourself. There are many advantages and disadvantages to be found from using an agent, and below we look at just what some of these are.
1. The first advantage of booking your villa through an agent is that they have a wide range of villas in various locations available for you to select from. All you need to do is tell them what it is you want and where you would like it to be and they will then find you some thing that matches your requirements.
2. Another advantage to be had from using an agent is that some can actually arrange your flights and car hire also. This then makes the whole process of arranging your next holiday not only much simpler but takes all the effort and pressure off of you as well.
3. Next any reputable agent will have an office or a representative close to where the property is and so can arrange to meet you at the property upon your arrival. This then means that they can show you exactly what is in the villa and exactly how everything works.
4. One of the biggest disadvantages to be had from using the services of an agent over finding your own holiday villa to rent is the fees. Many agents will also include a commission fee on to the actual rental price of the property in some cases it can be as much as or more than 25% of the rental charge. Unfortunately these are not always going to be the kinds of agents who offer their clients a great service and the necessary back up should any problems arise.
5. Another disadvantage is that there are some agents who will actually advertise villas to rent in Spain and will have never actually seen them for themselves. So when it comes to finding out what local facilities and amenities and other important information you need during your stay is going to be somewhat lacking.
It is important if you are going to be using any agent for booking holiday villas in Spain through that you spend your time carrying out a little research before hand. If you can contact each one in turn and ask them for details of those properties that you are interested in and any other information that they can provide and which they feel is essential.
