Why does the Law of Attraction work?
Katey Nixon
If you give out joy, the universe will bring you more joy. If you give out anger or sadness, the universe will bring more anger or sadness back to you - this is the universal Law of Attraction
Don't believe in it? Just take a look at how it works in practice and see if I can change your mind. Let's take frustration - when does this start in your day? What about when you reach in your sock drawer and try to find that ellusive pair of socks!
Imagine the scene, you draw out one, then another, then another - and they are all single odd socks. Are you becoming frustrated? Remember the Law of Attraction states that this frustration will come back on you later.
So you've got a pair at last. You've eaten breakfast and you're out of the house, but your rushing. You cut someone up on the freeway and there's a squeel of brakes - more furstration!
The other driver is now in a rage - he gets to work seething and shouts at his PA. She seethes all day and then goes home in a rage. Hey presto, you are driving down the highway having finally calmed down when the same PA cuts you up, sparking off the frustration again. All for the lack of a pair of socks!
Now there are two ways to approach this. Firstly you can find a way of pairing up your socks and you could try employing an odd sock bag technique.
Secondly you could try letting go of your desire for a pair of socks. There are many ways to do this - I personally use the Sedona Method. If you let go of your desire to find a pair of socks, but still have the intention of finding a pair of socks, the Law of Attraction will come in to play - why is this?
The Sedona Method teaches you that anything you "want" you are at the same time "resisting having". So long as I am telling myself "I lack a pair of socks" the universe will support me in this and perpetuate my lack of a pair of socks. This is the Law of Attraction in operation.
