Fun in the Sun

Nothing instills more peace in the soul of an individual than that of sitting on a beach, watching the waves roll in and the children playing in the sand, with the occasional seagull soaring overhead to complete the picture. Almost ninety percent of vacationers always seek one beach or another for their next vacation getaway. Beaches are the epiphany of the vacation experience. There's nothing like sand, sun and surf (the three S's) to make for a memorable summer getaway. You can find all this and more at Mothers' Beach in Long Beach California.

Long Beach has always been an awesome source for ultimate family vacations. It is renowned for the many museums, theatres, fairs, festivals and numerous other attractions to be found there. This opens up the options for more than just a beach getaway, but to be honest, in most tourists' minds, the beach is the defining aspect of the perfect vacation experience.

Mother's Beach, Safe Family Fun

Mothers Beach provides the perfect family beach atmosphere, particularly for those with younger children, due to the fact that is actually a marina and does not have the rougher waves that your average sea-front beach has. Parents can feel totally secure that their children are playing in safety. There are numerous lifeguard towers located up and down the beach, manned by highly trained lifeguards that care for nothing more than that you and your children have a safe beach vacation experience.

Activities

There are a number of awesome fun things to do at Mothers' Beach, including volleyball parks, picnic areas, and a playground for the younger children. As if all that wasn't enough, there is a shopping center located just a few steps away at the entrance, complete with restaurants and caf's. One could spend an entire day here and want for nothing more.

Water Sports

For the more action-oriented vacationers, Mothers' Beach proudly harbors a water skiing and jet skiing area in the daylight hours. On top of that, the Marina often sponsors aquatic racing events, such as jet boats and rowboat racing. The suitability for this Marine stadium is truly impressed upon you when considering that the Olympic boating event trials were held here four times in the past century.

Romance on the Beach

There are jet ski rentals, and even row boat rentals for those who would like to get out on the water in a nice, calm, romantic setting. It is a perfect opportunity for newlyweds or those celebrating an anniversary. What could be more romantic than setting out in the middle of a massive body of water, watching as the sun slowly sits just beyond the horizon?

For family, singles, or couples, Mothers' Beach in the Marine Stadium has something for everyone to enjoy. This is truly one of the finer vacation getaway options for just about anyone. There is always something to do, see, or experience at Long Beach California.
