How To Build Your List Using Powerful Squeeze Pages

Raam Anand

Squeeze pages or reseller pages are simple, effective and short web pages that have just one objective - to build your opt-in list and, optionally redirect the visitor to one of your own sales page or an affiliate page. Squeeze pages, if done properly, is a great way to capture your visitors name and email address BEFORE they are shown (or redirected to) the actual sales message.

Use multiple squeeze pages - The more squeeze pages you have around the Internet, the better. Just make sure you have a unique URL for each. Using multiple pages allows you to target more keywords. By tracking individual squeeze pages, you will be able to figure what works and want doesn't. Tweak the ones that are working and discard the ones that aren't producing results.

Point out your uniqueness - Tell them why you are different than everyone else. Let them know that you can give them something that nobody else can give them. What separates you from the rest of the crowd? Give your visitors the reason why they have to opt-in to your list.

Build customer confidence - Use your squeeze page to help give your customers confidence in you. You want to make sure that you make them feel at ease with you and that they feel like they can trust in you and your product. If possible, add a couple of genuine customer testimonials to your squeeze page. They are effective.

Use photos - Put your picture on there. It has been shown that when people use a picture they get a better response. This is due to the fact that people feel more connected when they see what someone looks like. Make sure it is a good photo. People become uncomfortable when they feel they are interacting with a software script instead of live human being on the other side of their computer screen.

Make the customer feel secure and safe - Let the customers know that you have their safety in mind. Tell them about how safe it is to shop with you and back that up by giving them the proof they are safe. Never forget to prominently display your privacy policy on your squeeze page.

Keep it simple - Do not make your page more complex than it has to be. Be upfront and straight forward. Avoid any extravagance and just keep it neat and easy to read. The content should be written typically to a high-school student. Use short sentences and many paragraphs. Bullet points are very effective in highlighting the most important points and enhances the look and feel of your squeeze page.

Make copy the right length - Do not ramble on if you do not need to. Make sure you make it long enough, though. Include the information you need to and forget the fluff. Ideally squeeze pages are just enough to fit into the first fold of the page. In other words, let the entire squeeze page fit into the visible portion of your page when viewed in a browser, without having to use the scroll button.
