The best thing of all is give them FREE CONTENT...I am not talking about just free reports either, though that is a very good start. Find something in your industry that everyone needs online (Free SE submissions, FREE Listing of Ezines, FREE Training Course Online, etc.). Pick a HOT idea that is going to get people to link to you.
Look around in a variety of forums related to your industry; talk to folks, you will see a need that everyone has that you can give them free when they go to your website. Your visitor numbers will go sky high once you offer it for free.
Additionally you should look to alternate Traffic Plugins like:
- Free Classified Sites
- Postcard Sites
- Magazine Sites
- Message Boards
- Chat Rooms
- etc.
2. Startup an Opt-in Mailing List For Yourself.
Bulk email won't doLook to Opt-In. Email has the most superlative effect as an Internet tool. The trouble is that spammers are using it to send everyone their online email sales letters. So of course steps were taken by the spamee's to free themselves from the spam and the spammers end up by losing their email lists and their websites where they conduct business.
The Internet tool of the future is opt in email. A very easy way to do opt in is to create an ezine. Having an ezine will help you stay competitive in your market, so set one up if you haven't already. One simple site to use to set an ezine up for free is Listbot at
