Epoxy Floor Paint

Epoxy floor paint gives your garage floor the beautiful look of an auto showroom. This type of floor protection is durable, tough, and oil resistant and withstands most chemicals that are tough on regular paint. This is the reason that auto dealerships and auto mechanics use it on their floors in order to keep them clean and to last a long time. 

Homeowners with garages have noticed how these shop floors have been protected over the years and have started applying the same epoxy floor paint as protection for their own personal garages and workshops. People even use it to cover their basement floors because of the great protection it offers. In addition, it looks clean and attractive as well. There is not a lot of maintenance associated with this type of protective floor covering.

This problem should be looked after before applying any type of floor paint. 

Epoxy floor paint comes in a variety of different colors and some people throw blended paint chips onto the floor right on top of the wet paint for a unique look. One of the main points to consider when applying this type of floor treatment is that you must prepare the surface of the concrete. If the surface is not prepared properly, it means that the epoxy coating will not last. You can even add a clear coat of concrete sealer on top to help preserve the surface of the floor. Some contractors recommend that you add epoxy paint to the bottom four inches of the walls to protect it from water damage in case you happen to hose down the floor at some point.
