Ford's name is synonymous with excellence, innovation, dedication, and the USA. As a top member of the auto industry, Ford has always offered buyers worldwide cutting-edge cars that suit any need. Due to the increasing global environmental concerns, Ford has developed a Hybrid automobile of its own. Americans want the fuel economy and environmental friendliness of a Japanese hybrid with the room and power that an SUV provides. To meet this need, Ford created the Escape Hybrid SUV.

Back in 2004, Ford released a gas-powered compact SUV called the Escape Hybrid. Ford was prompted to produce more of the gas saving Ford Escape Hybrid due to strong consumer demand. Ford partnered with Toyota to gain some of the patented technology and knowledge that was used in the Toyota Prius; this was done so that Ford could eliminate the possibility of legal issues. Due to this licensing arrangement, Ford has succeeded in producing one of the most advanced hybrid systems available in 2006. The Ford Escape Hybrid is currently offered as a completely hybrid SUV. The new hybrid model has the same performance and comfort as the gas fed Ford Escape, but with less fuel consumption.

Although you may have heard of the Ford Escape Hybrid, they have also put out a hybrid SUV under their Mercury car line. The Mercury Mariner shares a number of traits with the Ford Escape Hybrid and its soon to debut cousin, the Mazda Tribute Hybrid. Ford is concentrating on the further development of their SUV hybrid division while not abandoning their hybrid sedan segment. Ford intends to ride the wave of consumer concern with environmental issues by offering more alternative power systems in vehicles in the future.

A Ford Hybrid vehicle can give you advantages that will cater to the environment and also has benefits with the consumers:

1. As you drive your Ford Hybrid you will soon see that you are stopping at the gas station a lot less often to fill up. Since the price of fuel keeps rising, this is a welcomed change.

2. You will also become aware of the newfound quietness of the engine.

3. In addition, you can save even more money if your state is among those that offers tax rebates for those who purchase hybrid cars.

Whether it's a SUV or a sedan, any hybrid vehicle offers the ability to improve our lifestyle. Our lives can be improved with all of the new hybrids they have on the market. The bottom line is this: You get a bargain for the money you pay, and you are benefiting the environment at the same time. What better deal is there?
