There is a common misconception that steam cleaners can only be used for small, hard surface applications. But, the truth is that the spectrum of steam cleaners goes far beyond that. Their uses range from domestic to industrial sphere, covering materials ranging from carpets and upholstery to counter tops and public walkways. Today, many of them come with a host of special technologies and features which allow them to be even more versatile and durable. By understanding what’s available in the world of steam cleaners, you can easily find equipment to suit your needs.

A Range Of Technologies
Steam cleaners today come equipped with different kinds of features technologies. Throughout the years reputed suppliers have added these features for a number of reasons: they increase the durability of the machine; they make the user experience more convenient; they increase the overall cleaning efficiency of the steam cleaning machine; and they increase the number of applications which the machine can be used for.

For example, there are now steam cleaners available that are equipped with antibacterial systems that can kill up to 99.9% of harmful bacteria. This makes these machines ideal for cleaning commercial kitchens as well as places like hotels and hospitals. There is also technology available that prevents allergens and other kinds of germs from being re-introduced into the atmosphere. This air-purifying technology comes in the form of a HEPA filter.

A number of technologies have also been introduced in order to make steam cleaners easier to use and to increase productivity. One of these is the continuous filling system, which allows the user to clean without having to stop and manually fill the tank from time to time. As such, operators can work continuously throughout a job without losing precious time or reducing productivity to refill the tank. A number of steam cleaners offer very high temperatures that can reach up to 360º F; so the boiler design has also been modified to ensure it can handle these rigorous temperatures. Rather than having the heating element welded into the boiler, it has been found to be more efficient to offer one that is easily replaceable. In this way, the entire boiler does not need to be changed when a new heating element is needed.

Different Uses
Today a number of steam cleaners are designed to cope with a variety of cleaning jobs. For example, there are units which are effective in tackling chewing gum removal, from surfaces as varied as the bottom of desks to the pavement. Gum removal can be very tough, and in many cases, gum deposits end up becoming a hardened black stain that seems to be a part of the sidewalk. But the right kind of steam cleaner can remove these stains completely; better still, they can do the job quickly too. These machines combine the power of high-temperature steam with a gum removal solution, brush tool, and vacuum extraction.

Cleaning tile and grout is another tough job that many people associate with toothbrushes, harsh chemicals, and lots of scrubbing. It is an important task, since grout can harbor harmful elements like black mold. But today, there are steam cleaners that make cleaning tile grout an easy task; not only that, when combined with anti-bacterial technologies they can disinfect the surface as well.

Deep-rooted molds and stains are lifted out and dissolved completely. There is no hard scrubbing involved and the grout is not scratched or damaged in any way. Whether you want to spot clean the carpet, sanitize the kitchen counter, or clear gum off of a public walkway, you can easily do so with the right steam cleaners.
