Pressure washers are one of the most effective ways to clean different areas, even in tough industrial or commercial settings. Their high pressure levels are ideal for lifting and removing deposits that have hardened onto a surface, even the very tough deposits that may be old or a mixture of different kinds of debris.

To suit the needs of different cleaning applications, pressure washers can be purchased from top suppliers with varying pressure levels. For instance, machines with lower pressure levels are ideal for cleaning more sensitive surfaces, as in auto detailing.

In addition to varying pressure levels, pressure washers can also differ in flow rates, power methods, temperature options, and portability. Particularly if you are working in exterior environments, mobility will be one of the most significant factors to consider.

The Importance of Mobility
It’s true that some cleaning jobs don’t call for excessive mobility. As a result, there are a number of effective pressure washing machines that are stationary. But, a number of cleaning projects do require moving around, and this can happen in a number of situations. For instance, you may have a cleaning job that is situated outdoors with no ready access to an electrical supply. Or perhaps you need to cover a large area, which a stationary machine would not be suitable for. Apart from that, lugging around lengths of power cords or pressure hoses may be inconvenient.

The most mobile pressure washers on the market are those powered by gasoline, diesel, or propane, and feature wheeled or trailer mountable configurations. The portability of these units is not limited by the need for an electrical supply, which is the greatest limitation of electric pressure washers. Even in the most remote locations, users can take advantage of the power of a pressure washing machine for their challenging cleaning applications. Additionally, these pressure washers do not use power cords, so users never have to worry about tripping over cords during operation.

There are a number of mobile pressure washing units in the industry that run on gas but are not only powerful, they are versatile as well. Some machines offer pressure levels of up to 3000 psi and beyond, with flow rates of up to 5 GPM. Gas powered units can also be purchased with a variety of temperature options; as temperature increases, the cleaning power improves. Thus, the power of steam or hot water in combination with high pressure levels and flow rates is perfect for hard industrial cleaning jobs and commercial cleaning projects. In terms of versatility, users can opt for machines with triple-temperature functionality, capable of being operated independently as cold water, hot water, or steam pressure washers.

Moving Indoors
Despite their major benefits, gas-powered pressure washers do have their limitations. Many of them can be noisy and create exhaust fumes; while this may not be a big nuisance in large, well-ventilated areas or outdoors, they can pose a big problem when cleaning indoors. So when it comes to mobile, indoor cleaning jobs, it’s best to go with electric pressure washers. These units are much quieter and have no exhaust issues, making them perfect for cleaning places like hotels, restaurants, and hospitals. Some of them may offer relatively lower pressure levels and flow rates, but these are often enough for tackling lighter cleaning jobs.

Many of the electric portable pressure washers on the market today are also versatile, with many of them offering hot, cold, and wet steam modes. In some cases, they can offer steam temperatures of up to 330º F. This is ideal for cleaning areas like commercial kitchens and rest rooms. However, it is important to note that these machines do require use in proximity to an electrical source.

Whether you have a tough outdoor cleaning task ahead or you have a sensitive indoor cleaning job, you can easily find the right pressure washer for the job. You can also find different mobility options to make your job easier and more effective. To make sure you find the right machine for your needs, consult a top distributor.
