Industrial steam cleaners are powerful cleaning machines. They can be used for lighter industrial applications that do not require the additional power of high pressure levels offered by pressure washers. Some of the areas where industrial steam cleaners are used are restaurant kitchens, shopping malls, commercial facilities, offices and so forth. This cleaning process helps to remove stubborn stains, dirt, and other deposits. With additional tools, users can use these steam cleaners for spot cleaning carpets, window cleaning, removing chewing gum, removing hardened food residues, and more.

Unlike commercial units with less power, industrial pressure washers feature pressure levels between 120 and 150 psi. This additional pressure aids in the removal of hardened deposits. Steam temperatures range from 330 to 360°F to dissolve residues.

Steam cleaners for industrial applications may also feature additional technologies to make the cleaning job both easier and faster. Continuous refill technology enables users to work continuously throughout a job without needing to stop and refill the boiler.

Another, often essential feature for industrial applications is the addition of vacuum extraction capabilities. While the super - hot steam dissolves residues, the included vacuum extracts all residues to ensure the surface in question is thoroughly cleaned.

Steam cleaners for gum removal are also available. They can easily remove gum from hard surfaces or carpets within seconds. In fact, with the combination of a gum removal tool, high-temperature steam, and vacuum extraction, gum removal steam cleaners can remove gum at rates of up to 500 pieces per hour. These are ideal for cleaning the walkways and areas of schools, shopping malls and theaters.

Industrial steam cleaning is a green method, as well, because "dry" vapor steam uses less water than traditional cleaning methods. Additionally, the high temperatures of steam cleaners often do not require the use of additional cleaning chemicals. The high heat breaks down the dirt for easy removal or extraction. Even if you intend to add cleaners for cleaning very greasy boilers in a factory or tiles in an office kitchen, then use green chemicals. They will not pollute the environment and are more effective in cleaning surfaces.

Besides cleaning, it may also be important to disinfect surfaces, particularly the ones in public places like hospitals, malls, educational institutes and so on. The high temperature of steam cleaners alone can sanitize and leave materials or surfaces fresh and odorless. However, for advanced bacteria removal, consider steam cleaners with anti-bacterial technology. HEPA filters are yet another option for increasing a steam cleaners’ ability to remove pathogens by purifying the air.

While buying steam cleaners, you should check that the boiler is made of stainless steel. The boiler is the most important part of the steam cleaner and it should be made of the best material. Depending upon the purpose for which you want to use it, determine the pressure level and temperature of the steam cleaning equipment. For domestic use, a simple steam cleaner that delivers steam at 75 psi at 300°F is sufficient, while for industrial purposes you will need equipment that delivers steam at higher pressure levels and temperatures.

When you select the right machine for you, remember that it is essential to properly maintain steam cleaners to prolong the life of the machine.
