Everyone who suffers from zits is familiar with just how traumatizing it is to awake the morning of picture day to find a nose zit or a breakout along the chin. Acne tends to find a method to destroy important events in our lives. People have taken to the Internet to pinpoint effective acne solutions that take effect in very condensed amounts of time. There are a large number of sites that make thousands of recommendations relative to treating zits overnight. One tells you to utilize honey, while another a tube of toothpaste. It can be hard to pinpoint which site to trust, especially considering that all the advice looks well-intentioned. To keep you from risking your beautiful complexion on prom day or an important event, we have provided some acne treatment recommendations below.

If you open your fridge presently, it is highly unlikely that you won't discover a lemon. It's not so much the lemon as a whole which interests us relative to treating pimples, but rather lemon juice. It has the disinfectant characteristics we need to eradicate the p. acnes bacteria which trigger breakouts. Further, it can help provide relief to reddened skin to minimize the appearance of pimples. Lemon juice is best applied with a cotton ball or some sort gentle applicator. Pure lemon juice can be very strong, so it is oftentimes advised that it is toned down using water. Apply the mixture to your problem areas first in the daytime, and once at nighttime preceding your social event. In the day, make sure to follow-up with a non-comedogenic moisturizer and sunscreen. At night time, also be sure to use some moisturizer. In the morning, your skin should look much less swollen and red and ready for its public debut.

Toothpaste is a popular remedy that is often touted as a quick acne cure. We are not disputing as to its efficacy, but rather noting that in some, toothpaste can trigger more breakouts. If you're interested in using this regimen, you should experiment with it on an inconspicuous area first. If you are happy with the results you see, it may be the treatment for you. People often advise using the paste formulations and keeping away from products that have many additional additives for whitening and other purposes. Basic products are always best.

The role of rest in curing pimples has been proven to be immense. The mechanisms which are responsible for repairing bodily damage fail to function to their full capability when they have not been rested. If you have a significant event coming up, don't pull any all-nighters in the days immediately preceding it. Also, try to avoid stressful situations as these too can also aggravate breakouts. Your body needs to be at peace and relaxed if you want a clear complexion.

The most important rule in all of this is to not squeeze your zits. They will explode spewing the bacteria in otherwise clear areas, causing more pimples. Resist this urge and instead behave according to the guidelines above and your acne problems will go unnoticed when you big day arrives.
