Ill-fitting white lab coats and medical scrubs have become synonymous with doctors and nurses. However, with an advent of colorful, printed, elegant fitting medical scrubs and lab coats at affordable prices, people in the medical profession are actually turning into literal style doctors.
If you were to imagine a doctor in a hospital, the first thing that would come into your mind is a person with a white lab coat. Doctors typically choose white lab coats as they convey professionalism, hygiene and authority to patients. However, more and more doctors are opting for less formal lab coats that reflect their personality and also lighten up the morbid atmosphere.
While medical scrubs are largely used because of the mess involved in the work, they tend to make the doctors and nurses shabby and frumpy just because they are ill-fitting and probably unisex. Tailored and well cut coats and scrubs not only enhance the personality of the doctors and nurses, they also instill a sense of confidence within the patience.
Most medical scrubs are made of cotton that is soft, durable and breathable. Stores offer these scrubs in different colors and prints. These coats are also available in different materials. At the high end are 100% natural cotton lab coats. Additionally they are also available in polyester or cotton and polyester blends in the ratio of 35/65. While buying medical coats, ensure that the material is resistant to stains and wrinkles. Material such as polyester and cotton blends is fantastic.
Lab coatsand medical scrubsare supposed to be the conventional white clothing items with a no-nonsense aura. But with changing times, the entire idea behind this conventional thinking is modifying.
