Although I don't like to travel in hit travel spots, I will not skip the Dead Sea. Here comes some tips to share with you when you go travel in the Dead Sea.
Dead Sea is a place that you find it hard to swim. For most of your time, you will just simply float on the water without using much force and surely you will enjoy such experience. Everyone can float on water!
Put your shoes on before your feet get into water. Otherwise, you will get hurt easily! The salt in the sea is invisible because it sinks at the bottom. These salt crystals are rough and you may get hurt easily. What I suggest is to grab your dorkiest shoes and put them on. You can take a photo of it and share it with friends. Surely, they will find it really interesting!
You may also want to know a few quick facts of Dead Sea. It is not actually a sea despite its name, but a lake. Yet despite being a lake it is made up of approximate 30 percent of salt. Besides, located at 417 feet below sea level it is also the lowest place on earth. The mud of the Dead Sea is actually being employed by the hotels along the sea side for Spa treatments for the visitors around the world.
Wrapping yourself with the Dead Sea mud is a must try item. You will find it amazing when you try to feel how smooth your skin becomes after experiencing the mud-wrapping for 20 minutes in a dark room.
There are three things you should remember, do not shave for at least two days before you get in the Dead Sea, do not get in the Sea if you have wounds, do not let your face touch the water so as to protect your eyes. Keep these in mind or else you will experience a very painful holiday.
Remember to put on your oldest outfit. The sea water with that level of salt content will discolor about everything that you put on. Rinse your body, together with what you are wearing immediately when you are out of the water, not only does the water can discomfort your skin, it also ring a layer of grime that is really hard to remove.
Do not plan to stay there for a long vacation unless you want to try out the whole set of skin care treatment. There isn't much to see in the Dead Sea. Plan in advance for your accommodation if you want to stay longer. Have a fun and relaxing holiday in the Dead Sea!
