Torrevieja loves a party so it hosts a festival nearly every month. The Christmas season always sees three back-to-back celebrations, spring brings Easter celebrations and the May fair, while summer is by far the busiest season. There is even a festival honoring tourists that takes place each August. In fall, take part in the Festival of Vendimia, the El Pilar festival and the annual All Saints Day festivities. When you are not sightseeing, there is still plenty to do. There are many charming boutiques and gift shops to explore. Also be sure to sample the delicious cuisine available at the many restaurants in the area.

If you are traveling with small children, you may find renting a villa a reasonable option in order to give the little ones a quiet place to nap.
When you visit, don't be surprised at the many cultures you will experience. The Costa Blanca has long been Europe's vacation and retirement destination. You will meet people from Scandinavia, Germany and Britain, many of whom have chosen to settle here permanently. After one visit, you may want to do the same.
