Herbs For Your Dog's Health

In today's day of natural medicines and herbs to cure human ailments, why not try them for dogs. Growing your own herbs at home allows you some options to treat certain issues for your dog. Save money and help your pet, enough said.

The use of Aloe Vera as a medicinal purpose has been going on for centuries. People have been using it for scrapes, burns and other injuries. Our pets can also benefit from this for stomach ulcers, wounds and burns.

In addition, Aloe Vera will help your dog with gas or constipation. Mixing a small amount into your dog's food can help with internal issues of your dog. Externally, you can rub it on their coat and into their skin to heal the infected area.

The flower from the calendula herb can be used antifungal or anti-inflammatory but the majority of it usage is for cuts and wounds. You can also use this on wounds and cuts as well. This flower just keeps on providing us with medicinal uses as listed below.

There are still more uses for this herb and its flower. The petals can be used to apply to wounds as a dressing. Teas can be made from the petals to act as an antiseptic to prevent the growth of bacteria as well.

How many of you use ginger in your tea to cure a cold. Well, the root of the ginger can be made into tincture or tea to cure your sweet pets upset stomach. This delicious herb has been used for centuries by people, now it's time share this great remedy with your dogs.

Goldensel is a powerful herb that works as an antibiotic against the connection of bacteria to the walls of cells. It also acts as a treatment for dogs with stomach and bowel aliments. Additionally you can use it as an eye wash for your dog's eye infection or weepy eye syndrome.

Try the triple action of chamomile, valerian and California poppy for your hyper dog. Only a few drops of valerian are needed combined with the tinctures, teas and extracts all serve to keep your pets blood pressure lowered asthma under control and repel those parasites!

As with any illness, we do suggest that you consult your local veterinarian before using the above mentioned remedies. Herbs have been curing our aliments for centuries so it's only natural that we explore options for our pets. Happy and healthy dogs deserve it.
