Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 incorporates elements of Civil War and Secret War. All the comic heroes of Marvel that you adore would still be there in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. The Superhuman Registration Act divided the team of heroes into two factions. At the start of the game, you have to choose which side you will take. As you side with one faction, the superheroes on the other side will serve as villains for you. Either you are for or you are against such legislation. The missions and subplots you will be following will also be identified according to the faction you will take.
There is a possibility that the endings will end up multiple. The highlight of this new edition lies on the fusion attacks. These fusion attacks strengthen your power through transforming the powers of two heroes to a combo attack. There are different techniques in showcasing a combo attack. Solid graphics are also showcased in the game. Neat direction is evident in the environments. Selection of the character models was commendable. Execution of the physics system implementation also deserves a thumbs up. The atmosphere of the game also becomes livelier with the music and battle sounds incorporated.
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 uses a gameplay noted for its moderate efficiency. Original elements are still maintained without disregarding some changes and new approaches. You will surely see it as a challenging and exciting game with its moderate difficulty level.
The game is also characterized with the branching story arcs. The dominance of a dual campaign can be noted. You can also ask three other players to play co-op with you both online or offline. The solid implementation of RPG elements and the different stories narrated also make the game stronger.
