Whether alone or in a long term relationship, women are often confused by men. Let's be honest; there's no handbook that explains a man's odd behavior, and any attempt at understanding a man's behavior often leads to even more confusion.
It's no wonder that men confuse women at all. The fact of the matter is that the male brain actually operates extremely differently from the female brain, creating a perplexing situation for women. This concept has been popular ever since a certain best selling book was published in the 90s, and it isn't any less true today.
It's counter intuitive because we're led to believe that we're all pretty much the same, but the shocking truth is that men and women operate on entirely different wave lengths. Before you can understand men, you must accept this simple fact as the truth.
If you don't believe me, let me use an example. Ever notice how women are very interested in discussing their emotional feelings and their ideal relationship? What they want their wedding to be like, and who their dream man is?
How many men do you think sit around and make it a goal to find a great woman to settle down with and commit? Not very many. Of course there are exceptions, but the average man has a more of a "if it happens it happens" attitude about getting into a satisfying relationship. Your average man doesn't actively seek emotional fulfilment.
What men are usually interested in is typical "guy stuff." You know; automobiles, conquests, sports, and their hobbies. But is this a bad thing, and does it make men less complex than women?
The key to understanding men is to stop fighting the differences and instead, accepting the fact that you will never completely see eye to eye with a man. Once you accept this fact, you can begin to use male psychology to your advantage rather than viewing it as a hurdle that you must overcome.
Another thing to keep in mind is that both men and women are emotional creatures who base the majority of their actions on their feelings. Still, upon close examination, it becomes apparent that men often try to hide their emotions by rationalizing them with makeshift logic that doesn't always make sense. Ever wonder why men often act in ways which are very confusing, and can sometimes seem dishonest? Well, that facet of male psychology has a lot to do with it.
It may seem like a lot of effort to learn what makes men tick. In many ways, it is comparable to learning a foreign language. Still, if you think about it, a big chunk of most women's lives are wasted being frustrated and confused with men. If you can skip all of that frustration, confusion, and heartache, and learn to truly understand men, then you will truly hold the key to emotional well being and satisfaction. And that, ladies, makes understanding men worth all of the effort in the world.
