We get up when we awake, having dispensed with the formidable buzz of the alarm! Just being able to do this little thing is a great blessing to my nervous system for starters! My husband and I get in a leisurely breakfast sitting out on our deck enjoying the sights and sounds of the many native birds in our garden and the warm sunny morning, knowing later we can get out into the sun for a walk or go down to the beach for a swim. So begins our day of blessings.
Most people in our street begin their day working for someone else. So how could you not fall in love with this life of ours? Our day does often begin with family commitments, such as driving our lovely grand-daughter to school, but this is also a privilege and blessing, just talking with her.
Most likely our daily life is not hectic at all. So this is another blessing. We belong to ourselves all day, here in our home. We do not have to drive to a business that requires long hours of blood, sweat and tears. And we have not had to plunge a great deal of money as we would have, either, had we gone into a typical bricks and mortar type of business.
