World Ventures founders Wayne Nugent and Mike Azcue wanted to combine the best of the Internet and the travel industry to form a travel based network marketing company. They launched it in December of 2005 from Las Vegas. The company now runs completely in the black, allows its members to travel at discounted rates, and allows them to sell the travel packages themselves.
The President of World Ventures is Robert Oblon, and the Chief Marketing Officer is Dan Stamen. The Dream Trip director is Grant Merz. Dream Trips are what the discount vacations are called. These vacations can be anything from a high end cruise, to a white water rafting trip.
Rovia is World Ventures exclusive travel provider, who is partnered with many fantastic vacation suppliers, such as: Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Go Go Vacations, Melia Hotels & Resorts, Riu Hotels & Resorts, Funjet Vacations, MLT Vacations, Outrigger Resorts, Elite Island Resorts, and Barcelo Resorts.
The World Ventures founders wanted to create not just a discount travel company, but a company that allowed it's members to vacation resellers themselves. Members can buy an LTC package, which allows them to call themselves Leisure Travel Consultants, and resell the World Ventures products. Members are compensated when they sell travel, and again when they sign up other members to sell, as well. LTCs are not licensed travel agents, they are only authorized to sell travel through Rovia.
Plenty of LTCs get lackluster results, and leave the system in frustration. This is because even though world wide travel is an eight trillion dollar a year business, it is highly competitive, and competes on price. The worst part is what LTCs are taught, though, they are taught to market their websites to people they know, like coworkers, friends, and family members.
Having people in a person's real life go look at their website is not the best way to promote the website. The number of visitors will be minuscule when compared to all the people who are surfing the web looking for travel opportunities. Marketing websites is a specific, learned skill. Fortunately marketing education programs exist that will teach people a more effective way of promoting their website.
Online marketing education programs allow people to learn on a flexible schedule. People can learn while they are working a day job, and even while they are the stay at home parent. There are people who replace their day jobs with online marketing. But they had to learn effective marketing techniques first.
The World Ventures founders meant well when they started the company. But they are letting their members down by not providing them with a solid marketing foundation.
