If you're looking for something a little more authentic, head to the city centre to sample the range of restaurants surrounding the souks.
Outside the city: Its stark and somewhat inhospitable location in the middle of the desert is partly what gives Dubai such a unique feel. Take a day out to visit the Hajar Mountains, or cruise through the desert in a luxury four-by-four to truly appreciate this incredible natural setting.
Last but not least, of course, it's impossible to mention Dubai's premier attractions without referring to the numerous opportunities for retail therapy on offer.
