Postcards are familiar print materials that can always invoke nostalgia and ruffle our sentiments. Back in those years, when email messages and online chatting were not the norm, sending and receiving postcards have been our way of communicating with our friends and family members. Postcards are sent to share a person’s experience while on the road, has settled on a new home, or is on an exciting trip. These are also sent just to show that a person is missed and that a simple message is enough to show your sentiments. At the back of a postcard is a space where you can write you’re his and hellos, good riddance and warm greetings on your own, your unique handwriting making the card extra special.

Every one of us has sent or received a postcard at one time or another. You may have received one from your grandparents many Christmases ago or during your birthday when your kid cousin has drawn a picture of you on the front. One of the charms of postcards is that you can send this anytime you want. There is no need for a special occasion. Even during ordinary days, when you just feel like sending one. Postcards are accessible, too. You can find a postcard anywhere. From a gift shop to a hotel hobby, airport lounge to a shopping mall, you would not have a hard time finding one.

Postcards are low-cost, too. You do not have to spend a big amount for a postcard. For a dollar, you can already buy a postcard to be sent to your loved ones. You can buy a stack of postcards for sending them over the holidays, and you will not be charged a fortune. Aside from that, you can also just create your own. Yes, you have read it right. You can make a do-it-yourself postcard with just your personal computer and desktop printer. The materials are also not hard to find. Just paper and ink, or you can throw in a photograph, sketch, doodle, or an artwork on the cover of your postcard.

You may ask: “How can I create a postcard template?” That is easy! You can have a lot of options. One, you can create your own postcard template by scratch. Use a design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, that can give you control over aesthetics and design. You can also just use beginner-friendly computer programs which include Microsoft Publisher. Creating a postcard template would not be hard if you are into design yourself. It can be an art project in which you can show off your creative skills, such as making graphic design, taking photographs, and writing messages.

Another option, aside from creating your own postcard template, is to choose from a selection over the Internet or on your computer. You can find a lot of printing companies and design websites which offer postcard templates. You can have one of these for free or with charge. On your computer, you can find postcard templates, too. Open Microsoft Publisher, and you will be provided with different designs. Choose one that best suits your design preferences. Once you have decided on a postcard template, just make the necessary changes and customize it to your own specifications.

So, what are you waiting for? Create your own postcard template!
