Dyshidrotic Eczema is a case of Eczema that involves the hands and feet. It is distinguished by blisters on the palms, soles, and slopes of fingers and toes. Inordinate perspiration, itchiness, inflammation and dry skin are usual complaints among Eczema patients. Anybody can acquire Eczema, but those between twenty to fifty years old are more probable to get it. Men are more predisposed to this illness as compared to women.

Dyshidrotic Eczema was believed to be a gland problem that involves trapped sweat underneath the skin, causing blisters to form. Further studies revealed that this skin condition has nothing to do with sweat glands, and is actually triggered by certain environmental factors. Asthmatics and allergy sufferers are more likely to develop this condition. An underlying condition or a weak immune system can also make your more prone to Eczema. Skin contact with metals like nickel and cobalt induce eczema outbreaks as well. Stress and anxiety are possible causes too.

Eczema is a permanent condition. It may subside for a while but will come back when aggravated by irritants. The only way to manage Eczema is by learning how to deal with its symptoms. Understanding Eczema and learning how to treat its symptoms can help you handle this condition better.

Use a gentle cleanser to wash your hands. Dry them completely after each wash. Avoid heavily scented or colored soaps. If you can't steer clear of detergents while doing household chores, use rubber gloves to protect your hands. Keep your hands moisturized but avoid soaking them in water. Lastly, resist the urge to scratch your rashes.

Your physician may require you to undergo a treatment using steroids and anti-allergy medicines to inhibit symptoms. Prescription medicine works fast in easing redness, while antihistamines curb itchiness. If you would like to use natural cures, you may try tocopherol supplements and olive oil. Oatmeal baths also assist in comforting irritated skin.
