Cheating is a word that allows for numerous definition and characterization. In your case as a married couple, a definition has got to be identified, right at the start if possible, on what cheating means to each of you as a person and it has to mean to you both as a couple.

There are those who think that cheating is at the end of the flirtation journey. Some would consider the same as a matter related to emotions. When you get your heart captured in some ways by a "competitor" for your devotion to those who you have been cheating. With a wide-ranged characterization of what cheating is or could be, what then is one's gauge to determine if the friendly flirtation gets to the top and eventually fall down into the realm of a venturesome affair.

The first rule of thumb to follow is that if you feel guilty about it, there's usually a reason. If you feel like you should be ashamed or feel as though your spouse would be upset at how your relationship with this other person is developing then there is a reason to take a step back, hopefully before anything has been consummated and assess the situation.

There are a lot of people who find themselves in such situation. These had become a common thing around the globe given that women get bigger roles in the industry and the community as a whole. The interaction with men moves had move towards equality give a lot of opportunities and instances to form attraction bonds outside the realm of marriage, friendship and family.

It's a lot easier for people to get tempted to flirt and have the same progress into an intense relationship given the combined opportunities afforded in the workplace and in addition the easy access to men and women all over the world through the Internet. What's scary in this part is that emotions that are gathered and nurture during these "cyber relationships" can get too intense and little less than the real thing. Destruction of marriages all over had become inevitable.

But when is the line crossed. Is there one moment where the relationship stops being innocent and harmless and becomes so much more? Yes there is, but every person will have to decide that moment for him or herself. Generally, the moment you begin to question the relationship or worry about the impact it may have on your marriage is the moment when you choose to either ignore your doubts and cross the line or cut all ties and work on your marriage.
