Sore muscles can affect every one of us at some point in our lives. If you are into sports or have any routine physical activity, the likelihood of getting sore muscles will increase. But for most of us, these occasional moments can be outright inconvenient and can even be excruciatingly painful. Even the simplest activity can be hindered by the pain. Bathing, apart from its other health benefits, can help you feel better and relieve muscle soreness and tension. Here are some benefits that a warm bath can have for relieving muscle soreness.

Your sore muscles can get the same relief you get from pressing a hot compress on the affected area. What's better is your whole body gets this special treatment. Your sore muscles needs continuous warm temperature so the muscles can loosen up and the blood can flow easily as well. A warm bath can open up the pores of your skin, allowing toxins to be flushed out easier and faster. Less toxins in your body, means better health for you overall.

While you are enjoying this immediate relief, remember to get out of the shower quickly once you shut off the water. Water and air touching your skin will eventually make you feel cold, which is not good when you are trying to keep your muscles warm. Go easy when scrubbing your body. Apply only enough pressure to get the soap and water mixed up. Do not scrub excessively as this can further aggravate your already sore muscles.

You can also add drops of aromatherapy oil to further relax your body. Adding just a few drops of chamomile or sandalwood in the water can help you feel and think better. If you do not have aromatherapy oils, get aromatherapy candles, light them up on one side of the bathroom, turn off the lights, and you instantly get that spa atmosphere right in your own home. Its aromatic benefits will be the same as that of adding oils to your bath. You get the full benefits of a warm bath, the health benefits of aromatherapy and the relaxed ambience that can help you feel relaxed and relieved all the more.

You can give the gift of relief to a friend or someone special. You do not need to bathe them personally, but you can give bath related products or maybe even bath wedding favors as there are always new and exciting bath products in the market. A warm bath and soothing words from a friend or someone special can get you back on your feet in no time.
