Luxury Retreats—Why You Should Say Yes

Picture this scenario:

You’re on vacation and you rented a hotel room. The hotel is on the beach, it’s rather nice, and you have quite a bit of room in your hotel room. So you sit back, and start to relax for your vacation.

Until one A.M. when your neighbors take their trash out by throwing it over the window, crank up the radio, and loads of people go running up and down the whole hotel building. The next morning, kids are running and screaming and you end up not getting any sleep thanks to it. At the end, you end up cranky and since you are cranky, everyone else ends up having a not so lovely vacation. There goes quite a bit of money down the drain, and you have nothing left for souvenirs.

However, luxury rentals can make this quite a bit more pleasant. However, you may be wondering—why should you take the time to book and rent luxury retreats when you can just go to a hotel?

First of all, the above scenario would probably not happen. You probably will be on private property, on location, but far away from any potential vacation disasters.

Then, you can also—a lot of times, get a discount. This may sound a bit ridiculous, but in reality, it’s quite likely. You only have to know the times to check. The off season is a great time to check for discounts, or you can book early. If you go on vacation during the off season, you are also likely to enjoy the vacation a little bit more because you won’t have to deal with most tourists!

Most private landladies and landlords want to get their homes filled up as soon as possible—it means more money for them! Most are willing to give you a discount if you book early or if you ask. After all—the sooner they are filled in, the more likely that they have a guaranteed income for that particular season. And booking during the off-season is not just a bonus for you! They have no problem with that either!

Most luxury retreats are also on location. This means that you don’t have to walk ten miles to get to your ideal spot or park behind hundreds of people—depending on where you rent, your luxury retreat could actually BE ON the water/wherever you would like to go!

Keep in mind that even if you get a discount, you’re going to need to budget and plan ahead before you decide to take your vacation. Your main thing is to get an idea of how much your vacation is going to cost during certain times of the year. From there, you need to decide if you want to go during the summer or during the off-season.

Make sure that you also get a contract. Let’s face it—you can rent as many luxury retreats as you want, but no contract=no good. You need contracts so that you KNOW that you have a deal/discount/place to go. With that in mind, happy vacation!
