Linden Wolfe's Captivated by the King and His Kingdom: A Personal Encounter with the Sermon on the Mount is Holy Spirit inspired and digs deep into the greatest sermon ever delivered. The primary theme of the text is structured around the notion that God has a plan which entails the reintegration of humanity, selflessness, and an aura of purity amidst an opportunity to have Christ wash away one's sins. The Sermon on the Mount is a call to believe in God's message and plan. Wolfe puts emphasis on believing in the teachings of Christ regardless of whether we fully understand them or not. In other words, believing will require an unconditional surrender to Christ.
Wolfe's The Sermon on the Mount effectively delves deeply into what the Sermon is trying to teach Jesus' disciples and followers. As Wolfe states, "The Sermon on the Mount most clearly delineates what it means to serve as a follower of Christ and to live as a participant in His kingdom." The important point to take from this text, per Wolfe, is that Jesus Christ is not only the messenger, but the message Himself--the guide to truth and the means to a righteous life.
The text makes a courageous attempt to convey the mystical and miraculous healing power of Jesus' words. The Biblical sermon takes place in 33 AD near Galilee and details descriptively that the Kingdom of God is made of all true followers of Jesus.
Ultimately, this text is a guidebook to self-realization and self-understanding. What exactly does it mean to be a follower of the kingdom of Christ? It will aid the most earnest on his/her quest to moral and spiritual liberation and essentially free the human being from a life of disobedience.
For all who have read or studied the Bible, this book gives an in-depth perspective of the Sermon on the Mount, and how obedience, discipline, and belief in the message of God will translate into achievement of the real truth.
