If you're a man who balks at the thought of fashion, then read our handy guide on the coolest shirts around right now. Yeah, okay, it might be easy to just go and pick the first one off the shelf, but a little thought can make all the difference and make you look amazing, so hear us out. The lumberjack is always popular, partly because the flannel fabric is lovely and warm, but also because the dark colors look great with anything, particularly a nice pair of dark jeans.
Another brilliant shirt style is the long-sleeved dress shirt. These are great for the office, obviously, and look fantastic with a smart suit, but they also look brilliant with a pair of dark chinos or comfortable jeans. For a twist on the classic dress shirt look, you could try going for a patterned alternative. These don't have to be scary or garish, and a nice, subtle paisley print can look both smart and sophisticated. Choose one with a pattern that's only a couple of shades different from the base color for a great look. Or, for an alternative office look, try going for a smart pinstripe shirt that will look great with your suit as well as helping you stand out for all the right reasons.
Of course, not everyone is a fan of the traditional dress shirt, in which case there are also loads of tees you can choose from. The polo shirt is a great example of this. It looks great in a whole range of colors, so it's great if you're looking to inject a bit of spice into your wardrobe. You can also choose a short-sleeved one for an effortlessly cool summer look or go for the long-sleeved alternative to see you through fall and winter - especially great with nice jacket.
A final, fabulous stylish shirt option is the crew neck tee - think James Dean for this look. Make sure it's not too baggy as you want it to fit close to your body, making you look cool, not like you wandered out of the house in your pajamas. It doesn't have to be too tight, though, so no need to worry if you don't have a perfect physique. Stick to cotton shirts for an effortlessly cool look that the ladies are sure to love.
