Next you will need to shave, if you get out of the shower, don't dry your face yet. Use that warm water that has already softened your skin and massage shaving cream all over your face and neck. To avoid razor bumps, it's important to use a quality triple blade razor, anything with more blades can actually cause razor bumps. Be sure to moisturize every single day after you shave, this will also reduce irritation later.
Many men can skip these steps, finding that they will feel too feminine if they spend this much time on their skin care needs. But they are exactly that, NEEDS! Basic needs to create a clean, healthy looking skin!
