Varicose veins is a condition that's resulting from improper blood flow inside the veins. Most commonly appearing on the legs, the veins appear blue coloured, making bothersome roadmaps around the legs.

Although it is an unpleasant looking disorder, it's also a health threat, because varicose veins typically result in blood clots. The explanation of this malady stems from inadequate circulation, or veins that are not strong enough to enable smooth flowing blood. Often, the muscles inside the body no longer have the toughness to properly give support towards the veins and aid blood pass through effectively.

It can also be caused by structural damage or genetically weak valves in the veins, which interfere with the bloods' natural circulation methods.

For normal circulation, the muscles of the body are a key element in allowing blood to flow. That's why varicose veins are commonly found in middle aged and older people, rather than young people. Over time, heavily used muscles lose their strength, which is why the condition is often associated with people who spend their working lives on their feet, such as waitresses and waiters or factory workers.

There are some tips you can use to reduce the look of varicose veins. Keeping your weight under control, helps reduce the strain on the muscles. You should also keep your diet rich in fibre to relieve unnecessary pressure on your blood flow.

Some vitamins are noted to enhance circulation and keep the veins from inflammation. Vitamins C and E are both supportive of healthy veins. Vitamin C supports collagen production, the body's normal form of elasticity, which is vital for the partitions of the veins. Vitamin E decreases the probability of clots forming inside the blood stream.

Avoiding fluid retention will relieve the pressure and aid lessen varicose veins, consequently you should try to keep sodium to a minimum. Eating plenty of fresh berries will boost your bioflavins, allowing you to strengthen your veins, therefore reducing the blue lines.

Even though varicose veins can be demeaning to your looks, they are also a serious medical issue which must not be disregarded. If you discover unpleasant blue spider veins have appeared, you must try to find medical assistance from a professional.
