Most of the large and respected moving companies offer solutions for both commercial and residential moves. Even though they offer both services, usually they keep these two departments separate, depending on how large the moving company is. The reason behind this is because commercial movers take a higher degree of experience and care than residential movers. Both of these types of moves are very different from each other as well.
Residential moves consist of a few different types of services that might be offered. The first service is a free estimate on how much your move will cost, and how long your move will take. The next service is to discuss what the moving company will be responsible for. You can have them completely handle your move and allow them to pack all of your belongings for you and move them to your new residence. Other options involve the moving of vehicles and boats. There are different types of trailers and methods for the moving company to use, which is all dependent on what the person being moved is comfortable with. The last aspect of the move, and another service offered, is moving things into storage if needed. The movers will do this at the same time that they move your home to save you time and money, and to keep the move more organized.
Services for commercial moves are much more broad than residential moves, but everything relatively goes in the same order. The first thing discussed is planning, pricing, and a tentative time frame. After that is fully discussed, the moving process can begin. If the commercial property is an office, the movers can break everything down and relocate it to the new space, as well as put everything back together. This type of office move takes a lot of preplanning and organization so that all of the offices are put in the right spots. To help keep the entire process of a commercial move organized, the movers will have many mangers working with you. This will keep the communication at a maximum and will put you at ease that your office is being moved properly.
Even though both types of moves have their own characteristics and potential challenges, a professional moving company will be able to accomplish either for their clients in a safe, insured manor. The key is to keep all of the belongings in the same condition before the move, and to keep everything on schedule. If all goes well, both parties will be relieved, and ready to move on with their lives or business.
