Cadillac used cars like the Escalade is a luxurious sport utility vehicle that General Motors launch in 1999. Cadillac actually had no other choice but to get into the sport utility market, because that Lincoln launched the Navigator the year before and it’s major auto rivals from Japan and Germany had already been in it for a while. This wasn’t the first time that General Motors had been in the SUV segment of the industry, they already had the Yukon Denali, but GM wanted to have an SUV that competed with the best and so the Escalade was born. A lot of people love the Escalade but can’t afford a new one, so my research will be on a used one and to see how it matches up.
Cadillac Escalade used cars:
When you look at the Cadillac Escalade you think it must be huge inside, but it’s not, except for the two front seats which are very comfortable, the second row is average and the third row barely fits anything. The interior itself is exceptional, it has been said that Cadillac spared no expense for the interior of the vehicle and it shows. It has wood trim throughout the vehicle, which complements the leather seats. The Speedometer has an awesome looking blue color to it when all lit up at night. The Escalade that I actually look at was from 2007 and it had 22 inch chrome rims, which looked really good on it. It comes standard with, power steering, power windows, ABS brakes, AM/FM stereo, navigation system and a CD player.
This is not a cheap car to drive around in town in, so even if you can afford to buy one used, you’re looking at spending a lot of money at the pumps. I could only find one statistic for its fuel economy, which was 19-litre, per 100km, for city driving, I could not find the fuel stat for its highway rating. This stat is for a 2007 Cadillac and also if you’re looking to save on gas, then you might want to look at an Escalade Hybrid.
Now let’s look at why Cadillac used cars like the Escalade uses up so much gas. This vehicle has a very powerful engine, which has a V8, 6.2-litre engine that has 403 horsepower under the hood. It only comes in a six speed automatic transmission.
I hope this helps if you’re thinking of buying a Cadillac Escalade.
