You should look for a Tucson occupational therapy assistant program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, P.O. Your best bet is to find an ACOTE accredited school because these schools are recognized as offering the most thorough education. Graduating from such a program is a prerequisite in order to qualify to take the national certification exam. Though this certification exam is technically considered voluntary, certification is strongly recommended and is well regarded by employers and the industry in general.
