It's a myth that English is one of the most difficult languages to speak. Some languages have seven tenses. This one is nowhere near as difficult. Another benefit is that it's a widely used tongue and is easily available in magazines, television and movies. This makes learning far easier. There are many tricks and tips to learning English easily and quickly.
When learning any language, the most successful students immerse themselves in the culture that speaks it. This way a workable knowledge is obtained in an enjoyable way. If you're not able to visit a country that speaks it, immerse yourself in it. Fill your home with English magazines, have a talk show tuned in on your radio, subscribe to appropriate television channels and buy DVDs in the lingo. Most importantly, speak it whenever you can.
If your decision is to study in a school, select one with native speakers. This way you'll hear the correct accent and flow. It's no good picking up the errors of second language speakers.

Remember that making mistakes is an important part of the learning process so don't be hard on yourself if someone corrects you. It's also crucial to ask for help when you're unsure. When you don't understand something, pick up the phone and call someone who will explain.
People often dislike tests but they play an important role. They'll be encouraging because they'll reveal your improvement. Again, refer to the Internet to find them or buy graded workbooks.
Keep your reading and hearing balanced with your speech and writing. That's how you'll keep improving. With sufficient hours and effort, it can take as little as three months to study this language.
