"Well...I grew up in one of Montana\'s prime hunting and fishing areas. My dad taught me not to publicize any place special to me. He knew that as population increased the beautiful areas would be overrun and downgraded by too much human traffic. Now, with the internet, certain people are capitalizing on their knowledge of trails, fishing, hunting areas and selling this precious information to the general public. People should have to earn their way into prime back country, not have it handed to them on a platter! The South Platte River fishery is a good example of this. It is so overfished by reason of publicity and making a buck on it, that we quickly go out of integrity with the resource. Now, this fishery is for catch-and-release only, there are signs all over the place--now domesticated. Most all of Colorado is now. Montanans were wise enough to pass a law making all navigable streams accessible to the people and anyone can access any part of them at bridge points, etc."
