What Are Certified Vehicles?

Many automakers are making their used cars more attractive by having the lower-mileage, late-model, mostly off lease vehicles available for inspection by their dealership's services department. The dealers inspect the cars based on a preset check list and offer some kind of warranty to ensure the quality of the cars. The cars are then sold at a higher price than non-certified used cars.

Not all automakers offer certified used cars. The largest seller of certified used vehicles is Toyota.
